A Nice Girl Like You, Based on My Book Pornology, Out Now

July 17, 2020 Ayn Gailey

After what has been a long, fruitful journey, A Nice Girl Like You - the movie based on my memoir Pornology - is officially out. This project has been a dream come true for me, and I’m so thankful for everyone who made this project happen. Film is a highly collaborative medium and it takes a lot of sacrifice to get a project up and going.

You can now watch A Nice Girl Like You on iTunes, Vudu, Fandango Now, Redbox, and Amazon.

WORDS TO PICTURES

March 9, 2019 Ayn Gailey

Anyone who knows me, knows that I love talking about books or films. And, my absolute favorite thing to do is discuss movies based on books. Last year I was proud to have pitched a book to film event to the Orcas Island Lit Fest, and with help from the Orcas Island Film Fest, we built an amazing panel with actress Miranda Otto (Lord of The Rings, Homeland, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Thin Red Line) screenwriter Bryan Sipe (The Choice, Demolition Man), Pulitzer-winner Gilbert King (Devil in the Grove) and novelist Willy Vlautin (Motel Life, Don’t Skip Out on Me).

This year I’ll be part of a new panel, WORDS INTO PICTURE: ADAPTING LITERARY WORKS FOR FILM & TV, at The Association of Writers & Writing Programs (AWP).

If you, too, are traveling to Portland, Oregon for this event, I would love to meet you. Let’s talk books & movies!
